Export and Trading Apprentice

Division: Sales & Distribution

Location: Banbury

Supporting the team with export documentation, order coordination, and ensuring compliance with trade regulations. Assisting with timely deliveries, providing customer service, and maintaining export records.

Internal Relationships:
Export Team, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Finance, Warehouse

External Relationships:
Customers, Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, Regulatory Bodies

As an Export and Trading Apprentice, you will assist with international sales and shipments, gaining experience in logistics, export operations, and customer service. This role is an excellent entry point for a career in international trade.

Key Tasks:

  1. Export Documentation and Compliance:

    • Assist in preparing export documents and ensure compliance with trade regulations.

  2. Order Processing:

    • Help coordinate orders and work with freight forwarders for timely shipments.

  3. Customer Service:

    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on order statuses.

  4. Stock Management:

    • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory for export markets.

  5. Market Research:

    • Conduct research on international markets and competitors.

  6. Sales and Marketing Support:

    • Help prepare sales materials and assist with international marketing efforts.

  7. Continuous Learning:

    • Participate in training on export operations, customer service, and software tools.

Qualification Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
  • Organised with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Experience/Competencies:

  • Willingness to learn and interest in international trade.
