Stock Controller
Division: Manufacturing
Location: Redditch
Main Job Purpose:
Maintaining physical accuracy of the stock; controlling the flow of the outbound delivery plan in terms of physical picking quality, accuracy and timeliness; customer returns/uplifts; annual cycle count; holiday cover; checking and receipting goods inward deliveries into WMS.
Key Tasks:
• Collating samples for raw material deliveries for micro testing
• Checking the accuracy and scanning into WMS deliveries at goods inward – checking all deliveries against the gold sample.
• Assisting with annual stock take.
• Investigating and troubleshooting stock queries.
• Ensuring full traceability of products from receipt to dispatch.
• Control of non-conforming stock through hold / release of stock.
• Investigating customer shortage claims.
• Stock take all return to stocks from orders at end of production runs.
• Weekly Consumable Stock Checks and Collating sample for the sales and purchase teams
• Ensure company health & safety measures are adhered to.
• Conducting and resolving general stock queries.
• Daily checking of receipts to ensuring full traceability of products from receipt to dispatch is maintained.
• Booking in deliveries and stock from the lines
• Reporting any quality incidents via the QIR system
Cover for all other stock control departments and other Ad Hoc duties.
Training Requirements:
• Health & Safety Induction
• Quality Management System and Incident Reporting
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Systems – Dispatcher, Sage x3
• COSHH Awareness
Qualification requirements:
• RQF Level 2 / GCSE (grades A*-C) or above in Maths and English or equivalent qualification.
Experience/Competencies Required:
• Previous experience of working in stock control role essential
• Methodical mind and attention to detail
• Intermediate level of computer literacy including a good working knowledge of WMS, Word, Outlook, Excel, Sage (desirable).
• Analytical
• Prioritising and Time Management ability
• Problem solving capabilities
• Ability to communicate at all levels and a variety of internal networks
• Self-motivation and the ability to be flexible to change
• Quick and accurate data inputting skills
Ideally holding a current PPT License
